It was all a dream...
Kenneth Bryant “aka” The Rooster, has always had an entrepreneurial spirit from a very young age. He’s had numerous business ventures back in the day, from selling movies and CD’s to fly clothing, shoes and accessories to running clubs, promoting and throwing concerts and events around the city of Austin. Although he was and still is very well known for his rap and music career under the moniker of “KB”, the dream of owning a food business, fried chicken in particular, was always tucked away in the back of his mind. In 2010, he met Bernadette Cummings “aka” The Hen. He told her of his dream of owning a fried chicken business, serving fried chicken with a unique taste that folks would rave about. With his business savvy combined with her food savvy, the quest to come up with a unique seasoning blend began. In 2012 after many mixes and blends of various seasonings, they finally created a seasoning with the taste they had been looking for and got it down to a science. They then began selling fried chicken wing plates at local barber and beauty shops, and to family and friends. In 2014, they purchased a food truck which enabled them to provide a fried chicken experience like no other to more folks at various locations and events in the local Austin area. The journey was not always easy and the road to perfecting their fried chicken came with many trials and errors, and ups and downs, but they endured and stayed the course. Today, they are known as the fried food experts by many and have expanded their fried food delicacies to include pork chops, gizzards, chicken tenders and more. They have built a solid following of happy and satisfied customers who rave about their food. What was once a dream, is now a reality. In their spare time, they enjoy traveling, home improvement projects, Sunday movie nights and just chilling spending time with each other and loved ones.
